Redesign and SEO

I was hired to redesign this website. I was asked to create a very clean look using white or at least very light colors. The salmon color was being used in the footer only. This was one primary color and the winning concept out of three color schemes I provided.

It seems that in spite of the direction I was asked to go in the site owners had other ideas about what is considered an easy to consume user experience. Most of the elements I created and styled have been reused in one fashion or another, but the site is no longer clean crisp.

I'm linking to the initial designs / color schemes demo. As they didn't stick with the redesign I implemented on their site I'm not linking to it.
I have been re-approached to redesign other websites for them since.
